Why buy from CSBC Trade?

The California Shutter and Blind Company has been trading for a number of years. In that time we have gained a wealth of experience and knowledge that would take other companies a long time to gain. We have developed a unique plantation shutter design that is strong, durable, easy to install and stunning to look at. By using us as your information resource and knowledge base you will significantly reduce the risk of incorrect measurements or bad design. We are not just a place to buy your shutters from. We are here to help, assist and guide you through each order.
The cost of our shutters and blinds are very competitive due to the volume we manufacture and sell. We therefore have bulk buying power which is often very hard to achieve for smaller retailers. Our trade customers benefit from our low prices and can make a healthy margin when selling shutters and blinds to the end user customer.

Why use hardwoods and avoid MDF for shutter manufacture?

MDF is a great substance for items that have very limited movement. Most homes have MDF skirting boards, radiator cabinets or window sills but those items do not have the same strains and stresses that a shutter will endure. Quite simply MDF is compacted sawdust and glue and does not have the same durability and strength as a high quality hardwood such as poplar or elm.

Our shutters are competitively priced to ensure that while you will be paying slightly more than MDF, you will be installing a product that has a substantially lower risk of problems and costs revisits after the initial installation.

Do you set an RRP for your shutters and blinds?

We will provide you with a pricing structure for your reference, to ensure the price you sell to your customer is competitive with the rest of the shutter market. However, it’s entirely up to you how much you charge your customer for their shutters or blinds.

Are the plantation shutters or blinds branded in any way?

No – the point of sale material has no reference to The California Shutter and Blind Co or CSBC Trade Counter. This leaves you free to put your own branding on your products and sample bags.

How long is delivery?

Blinds – typically 7-10 days

Shutters – regular sea shipping (included in price) - typically 6-7 weeks.

Shutters- air shipping (at extra cost) – typically 2-3 weeks

Do you charge for delivery?

What hidden costs can I expect?

Our pricing structure is very clear. Pricing is charged per square metre and includes delivery. Extra cost items include

  • Custom paints at 10% surcharge (shutters only)
  • Custom stains at 20%surcharge (shutters only)
  • Additional wood profiles / frame extensions

Who is responsible for any wrong measurements?

If the shutter or blind has been ordered correctly and the order form approved by you, then the responsibility is yours. However,  our team ‘sense checks’ all orders and does not simply process the order. We will contact you to query any part of the order we feel is out of the ordinary to ensure the shutters or blinds arrive just how you want them!

Where are your shutters and blinds made?

Our blinds are made in California and our shutters in China. We have an integrated partnership with our factories that has been in place for several years ensuring product quality and design consistency.

Who delivers the shutters and blinds?

Where possible, we endeavour to deliver your shutters or blinds directly ourselves. If this is not possible we will us a courier company. All products are exceptionally well packaged to minimise the risk of potential damage during transportation.

Yes. You can purchase a complete dealers pack from us containing all your need to show your shutter or blinds products to your customers. You can also order small sample slats, panels, blinds – whatever you need for your own use or for showing the product within your showroom.

Yes – see questions ‘Can I order samples?’
In addition, we can send you a CD of CSBC Trade photo images that you can use to product your brochures or websites.

What guarantees do you offer?

Blinds  carry a 12 month guarantee. Shutters are guaranteed for 24 months.

Will you sell to lots of different dealers in my local area?

We will look to minimise the number of customers in any given area who we perceive to be a direct threat to our dealers business. We form strong partnerships with our customers who support us and purchases regularly from us.

Will you pass any customers over to me or receive referrals from other dealers?
